POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Tyler Hall scored 20 points and Montana State pulled away in the second half to defeat Idaho State 79-68 on Thursday night.

The Bobcats held Idaho State's premier guard, Ethan Telfair (16 ppg) scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting in 29 minutes.

Sam Neumann and Devonte Klines scored 13 points each for Montana State (16-14, 11-6 Big Sky), which shot 64 percent (18 of 28) in the second half to open up a close game over the final 11 minutes. The teams swapped the lead 11 times.

The Bobcats remain clustered with Weber State and Idaho for third place in the Big Sky and ride a five-game win streak into the season finale at Weber State on Saturday. Weber has lost four straight.

Robert Jones led the Bengals (6-24, 3-14) with 16 points and four assists, Novak Topalovic added 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Geno Luzcando 12 points and five assists.
