GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Charles Cooper matched his season high with 22 points and Green Bay rallied in the second half to defeat Detroit 89-81 on Sunday to clinch the third seed into the upcoming Horizon League tournament.

Cooper shot 8 of 11 from the floor, added 6 of 8 free throws, grabbed eight rebounds and had five assists for Green Bay (18-12, 12-6), which will face Illinois-Chicago, the No. 6 seed, on March 5 in the Horizon quarterfinals. Detroit (8-22, 6-12) is the No. 7 seed and meets 10th-seeded Milwaukee in the opening round on Friday.

Kenneth Lowe scored 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, Kameron Hankerson added 13 going 4 for 6, and Kerem Kanter 12 with 12 rebounds as Green Bay shot 60 percent from the floor (34 of 57) and outrebounded Detroit 45-31.

Freshman Corey Allen led the Titans with 24 points, his ninth 20-point game of the season, and hit four 3-pointers. Allen's back-to-back 3s gave Detroit a 73-70 lead with 5:12 remaining.

Turner Botz tied the game at 75 and Kenneth Lowe followed with a layup that gave Green Bay the lead for good at 77-75.
