(KSL News) A Sandy home developer is serving jail time for defrauding homeowners and subcontractors.
Brian Brady, president of Cobalt Homes, began serving a 90-day jail sentence at the beginning of this month. A 3rd District judge also ordered Brady to serve six years of probation and pay more than $300,000 in restitution.

Brady pleaded guilty to four third-degree felony counts of communications fraud. Court documents say Brady and office manager Melissa Brunner ordered an employee to alter invoices to reflect higher payments than the actual bill. Then they used that money to get illegal construction loans.
