PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Ammon Bundy, the leader of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover, is back in Oregon. KATU-TV reports that Bundy was transferred from custody in Las Vegas, where he's been held on charges from a different standoff with government agents, to the Multnomah County Jail on Friday night.

MONTEVIEW, Idaho (AP) — Game officials say they're trying to figure out who slaughtered 28 pronghorn antelope in eastern Idaho. The animals were left to waste in fields near Monteview, a small community about 50 miles northwest of Idaho Falls. The Idaho State Journal reports that Idaho Fish and Game authorities believe the killings occurred on multiple nights during a two-week stretch sometime during the last week of January through the beginning of February.

DIETRICH, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho judge has sentenced a high school football player to three years of probation and 300 hours of community service after prosecutors said he took part in a locker room sexual assault on a black football player in a small Idaho town. District Court Judge Randy Stoker issued his decision Friday in the case of John R.K. Howard, now living in Texas. Howard, who is white, is the only accused assailant whose criminal case was handled in adult court.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A state Democratic lawmaker says a Republican Boise business should switch political parties to run as Idaho's minority party gubernatorial candidate. Democratic Rep. Phylis King of Boise released a letter Friday saying that Ahlquist is an ideal candidate because he previously donated to failed Democratic gubernatorial candidate A.J. Balukoff in 2014 and refused to vote for Republican President Donald Trump.
