LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Zach Thomas scored 20 points with seven rebounds and seven assists and Bucknell defended its no. 1 position in the Patriot League, cruising to a 94-64 win over Lafayette on Wednesday night.

Thomas was 6 of 12 from the floor including four 3-pointers for the Bison (22-8, 14-3) who close the regular season at home against fourth-place Navy on Saturday. Stephen Brown added 17 points and nine assists and Nana Foulland had 13 points.

Bucknell went on top early with the help of two quick 3-pointers — one each by Brown and Thomas — and never looked back, taking it to 44-23 at the break. Lafayette trailed by double figures throughout the second half.

Matt Klinewski scored 20 points for the Leopards (8-20, 4-13) who have lost three of the last five.
