LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- The thrill is nearly gone.
Logan's Celebration Centre is closing, and three of the largest rides are being shipped to Nevada. That includes the Sonic Boom, a contraption that drops riders 367 feet.
Owner Stan Checketts says the amusement park simply wasn't profitable. He says the facility was costing $15,000 to $20,000 a month to keep afloat.
Other rides heading to Nevada are the Sky Coaster and the Sky Sling.
Renegade Sports has bought the property from Checketts. Owner Rich Gladfelder says he'll keep some of the smaller attractions like miniature golf, arcades and some of the rides.
