SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun highlights from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!
1. Beckham Jr. makes good on his promise
You may remember last week when we covered this young man losing his mind after receiving an Odell Beckham Jr. jersey for Christmas. Well, true to his word, Beckham met the boy on the field this weekend and signed the jersey for him.
And Odell had to share the video afterwards:
Cool stuff.
2. Western Michigan's most difficult five-yard trick play
Trick plays are usually all-or-nothing sort of affairs: either you totally fool the defense and gain huge bunches of yards, or you totally don't and lose big chunks. Well, this handoff, lateral, lateral again, pass to the other side of the field play picked up exactly five yards.
I am very in favor of trick plays, though, so Western Michigan has to be commended for their efforts here.
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo's big dunk
I don't think many casual NBA fans realize it, but Giannis Antetokounmpo is having a top-10 player type of season in Milwaukee. This dunk surprised nearly everyone by using every bit of length the Greek Freak has.
Oh, and thanks to his brother, also a basketball player, for sharing the video on Twitter. That's just good brotherly love.
