BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Chris Clemons had 18 points, making 8 of 10 free throws, to lead Campbell to a 69-58 win over Presbyterian College on Saturday.

Campbell (8-6, 1-1) grabbed its first Big South Conference win this season after dropping the opener to Longwood 79-77 on Thursday night.

Kyre' Hamer came off the bench to score 15 points and Cory Gensler added 12.

Campbell, leading 31-23 at the break, opened the second half on an 11-5 run to go up 42-28 at the 13:45 mark. Reggie Dillard hit a jump shot with 9:01 left as the Blue Hose closed to 48-40 but could never catch Campbell in the final half.

Reggie Dillard and Darius Moore had 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Blue Hose (4-9, 0-2), who have dropped eight straight away games. Ed Drew added 11 points.

The Camels hit 22 of 49 (44.9 percent) from the field while holding Presbyterian to 18-of-50 shooting.
