BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Christian Terrell scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds as Florida Gulf Coast beat Florida Atlantic 75-62 on Wednesday night.

Terrell was 6 of 9 from the field including three 3-pointers for the Eagles (10-5). Brandon Goodwin added 18 points and four assists and Demetris Morant led the team with nine rebounds in addition to scoring 14 points. The team averaged 49.2 percent shooting from the field, 100 percent from the free throw line and had a 37-27 rebounding edge over FAU.

A Morant dunk gave the Eagles a 31-21 lead with 1:39 to play in the first period and they had a 38-24 advantage at the break.

Terrell and Goodwin sank back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the second half to push the Eagles lead to 60-43 with 8:24 to play and they cruised to the win from there.

Jeantal Cylla scored 16 points for the Owls (4-7).
