NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA says two calls were missed in the final moments of Cleveland's one-point win over Golden State on Christmas Day, and both benefited the Cavaliers. The league says LeBron James should have been called for a technical foul for deliberately hanging on the rim with 1:43 to go. Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson should have also been called for a foul on the Warriors' Kevin Durant on the game's final play.

MIAMI (AP) — Russell Westbrook leads Oklahoma City into Miami tonight, where the Thunder will try to win their third straight road game. The guard is averaging an NBA-best 31.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 10.9 assists a game this season for the Northwest Division-leading Thunder.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The red-hot Columbus Blue Jackets will try to extend their franchise-best 12-game winning streak when they host Boston tonight. The winning run has given the Blue Jackets a team-best 23-5-4 start to the season, good for the best record in the NHL.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — No. 14 Wisconsin opens its Big Ten schedule by hosting Rutgers in a meeting of 11-2 teams. The Badgers have won seven in a row including victories over then 22nd-ranked Syracuse and Oklahoma. First-year coach Steve Pikiell (PY'-kuhl) will be looking to lead the Scarlet Knights to their first Big Ten road win since becoming a conference member.

SEMMERING, Austria (AP) — Mikaela Shiffrin has earned her second career World Cup giant slalom win, beating France's Tessa Worley by 0.78 seconds. The 24th career win by the slalom specialist increases her lead in the overall World Cup standings to 55 points over defending champ Lara Gut of Switzerland.
