BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Chandler Hutchison scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help lead Boise State to a 79-62 win over Cal State Northridge on Wednesday night.

The Broncos (7-4) close out the non-conference portion of their schedule winners of three straight.

Paris Austin also finished with 20 points for the Broncos, who were out shot by the Matadors 39.2 percent to 36.4 percent, but held a 13-point advantage at the free throw line and hit four more 3-pointers.

Darin Johnson led all scorers with 21 points for Cal State Northridge (3-9), which is still searching for its first road win of the year.

The Matadors outscored Boise State 41-32 in the second half, but couldn't overcome a 26-point halftime deficit. The Broncos opened on a 16-3 run in the first five minutes, and took a 20-point lead on two David Wacker free throws.

The Matadors trailed by 20-plus most of the second half.
