WEST JORDAN — A student has been arrested after police say he displayed a knife at West Jordan Middle School.
West Jordan Police Sgt. Joe Monson confirmed that a student "did display a knife" inside a classroom on Dec. 9. Another student reported the incident to a teacher, who contacted school administrators, who then called police, Monson said.
The 13-year-old boy who allegedly showed the knife was arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center.
Monson didn't know the student's grade, what offenses the boy was booked for, or whether he specifically threatened to hurt someone with the knife.
