(KSL News) The sluggish economy is taking a bite on pets and their owners, but one group is helping to make sure Utah's pets get the food they need.
The Animal Advocacy Alliance of Utah got its first donation today from Associated Foods: a large pallet of dog food. The organization will distribute the dog food to several food banks throughout the state.
It hopes today's donation is just the start of an ongoing drive to keep all pets fed while some pet owners struggle to make ends meet.
