RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada sophomore Jordan Caroline has been named the Mountain West Conference basketball player of the week after averaging 16 points, 7.5 rebounds and three assists in a pair of victories.

The 6-foot-7 forward from Champaign, Illinois had a season-high 23 points in a 91-69 win at Bradley on Saturday. He hit 6-of-9 shots from the field including both of his attempts from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds, four assists, a blocked shot and a steal.

Caroline scored nine points with a game-high 10 rebounds in Nevada's 77-67 victory over Pacific.
