(KSL News) An Amber Alert is still in effect this morning for three children missing from their West Valley home for nearly two weeks.
Police tell The Deseret News they have handed over their evidence to the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office to consider possible charges against Israel Hernandez.
They say Hernandez picked up his three children for a visit on Aug. 31 and never returned. He had lost custody of them two years ago because of physical abuse. They are believed to be in Mexico or California. Police believe his girlfriend, Marta Torres, also is with them.
