SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Police in San Antonio, Texas, are posting a photo of a man on the department's Facebook page, saying "he might have information on the murder" of Det. Benjamin Marconi. The officer was fatally shot late Sunday morning while sitting in his squad car writing a ticket for a motorist. Police say another vehicle pulled up behind him and the driver of that vehicle walked up to the officer's driver-side window and opened fire.

ST. LOUIS (AP) —Helicopters, SWAT teams and scores of officers are searching the south St. Louis neighborhood where a police sergeant was shot on Sunday evening in what the police chief calls an "ambush." The 46-year-old officer is hospitalized in critical condition but is expected to survive. The shooter got away. Police say the veteran officer was sitting in traffic when another car pulled up alongside his marked police vehicle and fired at least two shots.

CANNON BALL, N.D. (AP) — Law enforcement and protesters are in a new confrontation on the site of the Dakota Access pipeline in North Dakota. The Morton County Sheriff's Office estimates 400 protesters are on a bridge trying to go north on state Highway 1806. Law enforcement formed a line to prevent their movement. At least one person has been arrested. Protesters' live video appears to show a water cannon and tear gas being used.

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — Two Canadian lawyers are trying to persuade Australian lawmakers to pass a motion urging China to immediately end the practice of what they say is organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. The two have published evidence they say shows China performs an estimated 60,000 to 100,000 transplants a year, with organs primarily taken from Falun Gong practitioners, Muslim Uighurs (WEE'-gurz), Tibetan Buddhists and Christians.

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — There's good news for motorists planning to hit the road over Thanksgiving. The Lundberg Survey says the average price of regular grade gasoline has fallen nationally to $2.20 per gallon, a drop of 6 cents over the past two weeks. Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says a seasonal weakness in demand is one reason behind the decline. She also says refiners are increasing supplies now that autumn maintenance projects are wrapping up.
