KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Reserve running back Jeremy Lewis has left Tennessee's football team.
Tennessee athletic department spokesman Ryan Robinson confirmed Thursday that Lewis was no longer with the football team but did not say why Lewis had left the program. Tennessee's 247Sports site first reported Lewis' departure.
Lewis, a freshman from Lone Grove, Oklahoma, played two games this season and had six carries for 34 yards.
Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC) hosts Missouri (3-7, 1-5) on Saturday.
