ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Panathinaikos kept the pressure on rival Olympiakos after grabbing two second-half goals in a five-minute span to beat last-placed Iraklis 2-0 in the Greek league on Sunday.
Sebastian Leto opened the scoring in the 58th minute after a melee inside the area when the ball bounced off his body and rolled slowly into the net.
In the 63rd, Paul-Jose M'Poku scored his first goal for his new team with a shot that hit the left post first.
Panathinaikos remained four points behind league leader Olympiakos but claimed sole possession of second place after AEK Athens lost at PAOK 1-0. Leo Matos scored a last-gasp goal for PAOK.
Also Sunday, Asteras beat Levadiakos 1-0 and Veria vs. Platanias ended 0-0.
Panetolikos hosts Giannena on Monday.
