Aaron Sanchez held the Indians to a run and two hits over six innings while outpitching Corey Kluber, who was reached for two runs while pitching on short rest for the first time in his career. Josh Donaldson smacked a solo homer and Edwin Encarnacion (ehn-kahr-nah-see-OHN') added a two-run single to highlight a nine-hit attack.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rich Hill worked six innings and the Los Angeles Dodgers homered twice in a 6-0 rout of the Chicago Cubs in Game 3 of the NL Championship Series. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers have addressed a need at running back by getting Knile (nyl) Davis from Kansas City for a conditional draft pick. The Packers were in desperate need of a running back with James Starks undergoing knee surgery and Eddie Lacy nursing an ankle injury. Davis should be fresh after carrying just 29 times for 70 yards and a touchdown the past two seasons combined.
NEW YORK (AP) — Jets wide receiver Eric Decker has undergone hip surgery ahead of his pending shoulder operation. The team says hip surgery was recommended after Decker underwent an evaluation once he was placed on IR last week with a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. He could miss the start of next season given the recovery time for both procedures.
