STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug 11, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Lorena Ochoa of Mexico, set a course record Friday and claimed a share of the lead with Annika Sorenstam after the second round of the Scandinavian TPC.
Ochoa shot an 8-under 65 at the Bro-Balsta Golf Club in Stockholm, Sweden, to head into the third round at 9-under 137. Sorenstam shot 2-under 71 Friday, after setting a short-lived course record 66 in the opening round Thurdsay.
Gwladys Nocera of France is in third place after hitting 69 for a second straight day, while Helen Alfredsson (70) is fourth at 7-under 139.
Former Women's British Open winner Karen Stupples of England and Suzann Pettersen of Norway are tied for fifth at 6-under 140.
Ochoa is the leader of the LPGA money list, while Sorenstam is the defending TPC champion and host of the tournament.
