HOLLADAY — A man, who was found unconscious with a noose tied around his neck Saturday, died Thursday morning.
Shane Wright, the man's son, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 1 after police say he tried to strangle his father, Bryan Wright.
Shortly after 5:30 a.m., Unified police responded to a medical call at 4034 Solar Circle. Statements made to a police dispatcher indicated the caller may have been involved in the incident, according to the Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke.
Shane Wright reportedly told police, "It's gruesome. I helped my dad kill himself," according to a probable cause statement.
After advising Shane Wright of his rights, he told police, "He needed to aid with his dad's death in order to help his dad through all his pain," the statement said.
Wright, 24, was arrested for investigation of attempted murder. On Thursday, jail records were changed to indicate he is now being held for investigation of "murder — knowing and intentional."
