MEP, the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, is conducting a search to identify and recognize Utah manufacturers who exhibit extraordinary industrial leadership and excellence. These manufacturers will be honored at the 5th Annual Celebrating Utah Manufacturers Awards in November. Nominations are due by September 15th. For more information, go to www.mep.org.

The grand opening for the new University of Phoenix Murray Campus is on Tuesday, September 9th at 4:00 p.m. Utah’s University of Phoenix enrollment has doubled since 1995, necessitating the move to this larger facility at 5373 South Green Street.

Christopherson Travel Group has been awarded the Bourns business travel contract for all US-based employees. The estimated annual travel budget at Bourns is $900,000 dollars.

It’s Up, Up and Away at the Chamber’s 101st Annual Meeting on September 18th at the Salt Lake City Downtown Marriott. At this uplifting meeting we will honor our outgoing board members and ten Chamber Champions. The reception is at 11:30 and the luncheon begins at noon.
