HEBER — A woman driving a motorcycle was killed Monday after a pickup truck driver failed to yield to her motorcycle, officials said.

Around 11:20 a.m. Monday, a person driving a gray 2003 Toyota Tundra was turning left from the Deer Creek Trail North Trailhead onto northbound U.S. 189 near mile post 18 when the driver failed to yield to a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle driving southbound on U.S. 189, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

The woman driving the motorcycle, identified as 51-year-old Colleen Robertson, T-boned the pickup truck when it pulled out into the travel lane. Robertson, a resident of Lyman, Wyoming, was not wearing a helmet and was transported via medical helicopter to Utah Valley Regional Hospital. She died at the hospital, UHP reported.

Traffic was temporarily shut down in the area.
