SALT LAKE CITY — Eduardo Bastida Guzman, of Mexico City, applies finishing touches to his street art project during the Urban Arts Festival in Salt Lake City on Sunday. Bastida said the project took him about six hours to complete.
The free two-day event at the Gallivan Center is a celebration of Salt Lake’s urban and artistic culture and is the largest free community arts event in Utah, drawing more than 40,000 people and showcasing 200 artists, performers and musicians.
The festival also featured food, automotive arts, projection art, virtual reality and new media arts, a street basketball league, live street art and mural painting displays. On Saturday, hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash headlined the festival.
