TOKYO (AP) — Global stocks have been mixed in listless trading today ahead of key jobs data later this week in the U.S. that could lead to higher interest rates. France's CAC 40 rose 0.5 percent in early trading, Germany's DAX inched down 0.01 percent and Britain's FTSE 100 added 0.05 percent. Japan's Nikkei gained 1.0 percent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down nearly 0.2 percent. Dow futures slipped 0.02 percent while S&P 500 futures were up 0.01 percent.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — This morning, the first commercial flight between the United States and Cuba in more than a half century is scheduled to fly from Fort Lauderdale to the central city of Santa Clara. JetBlue Flight 387 is set to take off at 9:45 a.m. EDT for a 72-minute journey, re-establishing regular air service. More than 400 flights a week are planned.

TOKYO (AP) — The mileage scandal at Mitsubishi Motors is widening after the Japanese government ordered sales halted on eight more models in which mileage was falsely inflated by as much as nearly 9 percent. The Japanese automaker acknowledged in April that it systematically falsified mileage data on its eK wagon and eK Space minicars, also produced for Nissan. No overseas models are affected.

LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) — Delta Air Lines is rolling out new technology to better keep track of travelers' luggage. Delta has made a $50 million investment in the radio-frequency identification, tracking system. As each suitcase climbs up the conveyor belt into a plane, a small computer verifies that it actually belongs on that flight. If a bag doesn't, a red light flashes and the belt stops.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Craft brewers in Ohio now have the freedom to make boozier beers. A new state law takes effect today, scrapping caps on alcohol content for beer. Ohio is following the lead of other states in getting rid of its 12 percent cap that has been on the books since just after Prohibition. Craft beer is a $22 billion industry in the U.S., and sales were up last year nearly 13 percent over the previous year.
