MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 23-year-old man from southern Minnesota is charged in the stabbing death of a 74-year-old Eden Prairie man last month.
Nathan Foth of Le Sueur (leh soor) was charged Friday with second-degree murder in the death of Allen Retzer.
According to the complaint, police were asked to check on Retzer on July 22. Officers found him dead of two stab wounds to the neck.
The Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/2bVoB5l ) reports Retzer's minivan was missing. The Utah State Patrol found Retzer's van abandoned, with the license plate replaced by one from another car in Retzer's garage.
A search warrant says a cigarette butt with Foth's DNA was found in the van. Police arrested Foth Tuesday as he returned from Oregon on a bus.
Foth remains jailed and appears in court Monday.
