The Red Sox return to Fenway Park after a 7-4 road trip to host Kansas City which has won nine of its last 10. The Blue Jays host Minnesota after dropping two of three at home to the Angels.

DALLAS (AP) — The Texas Rangers have placed reliever Jeremy Jeffress on the restricted list following his overnight arrest on a drunken driving charge. Major League Baseball is looking into the arrest of the pitcher who was suspended twice as a minor leaguer for violating drug rules.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A person familiar with Eric Berry's plans tells The Associated Press that the All-Pro safety will report to Chiefs practice Sunday. Berry was given the franchise tag early in the offseason but has not signed the deal, which means he could skip all of training camp without being fined. Once he signs the one-year contract, he will make just over $10.8 million, making him the league's highest-paid safety.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Graduate transfer Dakota Prukop is listed atop 24th-ranked Oregon's depth chart at quarterback for the season opener against UC Davis Sept. 3. Prukop is listed ahead of freshman Justin Herbert. Prukop passed for 3,025 yards and 28 touchdowns with 10 interceptions at Montana State last year.

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) —Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn fired an 8-under 64 to soar to the clubhouse lead in the second round of the Canadian Pacific Women's Open. The Women's British Open champ is at 12-under par, four shots better than first round leader Chella Choi who shot a 1-under 71.
