SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Clayton Campbell pitched a complete game and struck out 14 to help Australia beat Curacao 2-1 on Tuesday in an elimination game of the Little League World Series.

Campbell threw 82 pitches and allowed three hits and no earned runs.

Stephen Courtney hit a solo homer to right field in the fifth inning to give Australia a 2-0 lead. Campbell had a double in the sixth and reached third on a wild pitch but Curacao reliever Gedionne Marlin struck out the next three.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jakey Josepha singled with one out for Curacao, a team from Willemstad. He moved to second on a passed ball, advanced to third on a fielder's choice and scored on an error to pull to 2-1. But Campbell struck out Allen-Amin Hollander to end it.

Australia has won two games in the LLWS for the first time. The team from Sydney will play Mexico on Wednesday.
