(KSL News) Utah's poverty level dropped in 2007, but advocates for the poor say the statistics are out-of-date.
Between 2006 and 2007, the state's poverty rate dropped a full percentage point. However, advocates for the poor say there's been no drop in the need for their services.
They say the federal definition of poverty doesn't reflect the number of people who are struggling with unemployment and the rising cost of living.
