CINCINNATI (AP) — The Reds placed on the bereavement list RHP Michael Lorenzen and recalled from Triple-A Louisville RHP Tim Adleman on Tuesday.

Adleman is in his second stint with the Reds. He was 1-1 with a 3.72 earned-run average in four starts from May 1 through May 19 before a strained left oblique sent him to the disabled list.

Lorenzen is 2-0 with a 2.30 ERA in 18 relief appearances this season. He opened the season on the disabled list with an elbow injury and mononucleosis and wasn't activated until June 22.
