ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a woman says she was sexually assaulted by an Uber driver after leaving an Atlanta bar.
News outlets report Atlanta police say the victim told officers she was leaving the Park Bench Pub around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when she called an Uber to get a ride home.
The victim told police that a short while into the drive, the driver began to sexually assault her. She says the driver then pushed her out of the car near the Galloway School after she scratched him to get him to stop. The victim called 911 and was taken to the hospital.
Police were working on getting a description of the driver.
Uber company officials say they are looking into the incident.
