This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Iomega Corporation recently launched the latest version of its award-winning removable Zip drive storage solution for personal computers. It is the Zip 750MB drive, which triples the capacity and more than doubles the performance of the popular Zip 250MB drive. In other words, the upgrade allows for a greater amount of information to be stored on a disk at a faster rate. Iomega research shows that Zip is used to "protect and secure" mission critical files while CD-RW drives are used primarily to "capture and share" music and other files that are easily replaced.

Since 1980, Iomega, which employs more than 500 people at its Roy location, has worked on developing personal storage solutions that help people manage important information in any location. Millions of computer users all over the world rely on Iomega products for sharing, transporting, protecting and backing up critical information. And because they do, Iomega has become a leading manufacturer of portable storage solutions, including drives and disks.

Since the Zip drive was introduced in March 1995, Iomega has shipped more than 48 million drives and 300 million disks, making the Zip platform one of the most popular and successful computer peripherals ever released. Zip disks compare favorably to compact discs for convenience and durability, with the advantages of being pre-formatted, protected by a rigid plastic shell so they won't scratch, and they can be carried in a shirt pocket.

The new Zip 750MB drive is supported by both the Macintosh operating system and Windows. And people who currently use the Zip 250MB or 100MB disks will be glad to know that the new 750MB drive is backwards compatible, which means it will allow them to access those other disks.

Well, Iomega's new Zip 750MB drive will certainly benefit computer users around the globe. And it's interesting to note that it was developed by a talented and strong engineering team at the Roy facility.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
