LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas judge postponed an initial appearance for one defendant so that two co-defendants already in federal custody can be brought to court with him in a brutal double murder, kidnapping and arson case.
Malik Niem Watson was returned in custody to Nevada this week from the Philadelphia area, where he was arrested on a warrant in the killings of Mario Jimenez and Angelica Jimenez.
Watson's court date was reset to Tuesday. His attorney, Robert Langford, declined immediate comment.
Watson and co-defendants Darrin Wilder and Hakim Blanche-Jones are also accused of conspiracy, robbery and attempted murder.
Police say victims were tied up and left to die in a burning home in November 2015.
A neighbor rescued a child.
A man survived with serious stab wounds and a woman survived with severe burns.
