EMORY — All lanes of I-80 were closed following a hazmat spill in eastern Utah Wednesday evening, UDOT said.
The incident was reported just before 6 p.m. on I-80, about four miles east of Emory. The crash closed both east and west lanes initially, but all westbound lanes and one eastbound lane opened up shortly after the crash, according to UDOT.
Cleanup of the crash is estimated to take several hours, according to UDOT, and the lanes were expected to reopen by 10 p.m.
Officials did not release any other details regarding the crash at this time.
