UNDATED (AP) — White Sox 14-game winner Chris Sale, Brewers All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy (LOO'-kroy) and Yankees slugger Carlos Beltran are possible trade targets ahead of today's 4 p.m. EDT deadline. Playoff contenders are expected to try to strengthen their rosters in an attempt to make a post-season push.

HOUSTON (AP) — Washington's Steven Strasburg will attempt to become the first 15-game winner in the majors when he starts the series opener at Houston tonight. Strasburg is 14-1 with a 2.68 ERA including 4-1 with a 2.08 ERA in July.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland's Danny Salazar tries to keep his perfect record against AL Central foes intact when he starts against Minnesota. The right-hander is 6-0 with a 2.68 ERA against division rivals this season, as part of his 11-3 record.

LONG POND, Pa. (AP) — For the second time this season, Pocono Raceway is hosting a Monday Sprint Cup race after the 400-miler was rained out yesterday. The June race at the track was also postponed by rain. Martin Truex, Jr. is the pole sitter for this morning's schedule start.

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — The Bills are bringing in running back Reggie Bush with the intention to sign the free agent as a back-up to LeSean McCoy. A person with direct knowledge of the situation has told The Associated Press the 10-year veteran is expected to sign pending a physical today.
