Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Merrill Gappmayer has been named Chairman of the Intermountain Health Care Board of Trustees. Gappmayer has served on the IHC Board for 14 years.

DoxTek, a Utah-based forms management technology company, is working with the State of Indiana’s Division of Information Technology to engage in a two-month feasibility study into the implementation of a statewide electronic forms management solution.

Intermountain Health Care has been named a top 10 family friendly company by the State of Utah.

The Summit Group, a Salt Lake City-based advertising agency, received a national promotion of the year award from Subway, the nation’s largest franchise organization. The Summit Group was named “Best of Show” and received the Best Local Promotion award.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In 1935 the Chamber opposed having route 89 go from Provo through Provo Canyon, Heber, and to Evanston, Wyoming. Instead, the Chamber proposed route 89 continue from Provo, through Salt Lake City, Ogden, Logan, and eventually to Yellowstone. The Chamber’s proposal was accepted.

Tonight the Chamber’s Business to Business Expo begins with an Opening Night Party at 5 p.m. at the Salt Palace. There will be prizes, entertainment, and fun.
