This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

About 25 years ago, Larry Klingler opened a franchise bookkeeping service with the idea of helping small and medium-size businesses prepare their financial statements and tax reports. His goal was to give them a proficient service as if they had a full-time accountant on their staff. And he planned to do it for only a fraction of the cost of hiring an accountant.

In those days, Larry's business was known as Comprehensive Business Services. It was a franchise of one of the largest bookkeeping services in the United States. But after having worked in the business for a decade, Larry caught the entrepreneurial spirit and decided to set out on his own.

In 1986, Larry opened the small certified public accounting firm under his own nameÑLarry N. Klingler & AssociatesÑand began offering his own personalized kind of service for a monthly fee comparatively lower than the hourly rates charged at other CPA firms.

Well, today Larry's work remains proficient and personalized, and the rates continue to be reasonable. In keeping with his style of service, Larry's firm remains relatively small with only five full-time employees. But despite its small size, the company manages to do the accounting and financial work of more than 100 companies every month.

The company specializes in doing monthly accounting and tax work, including quarterly payroll and sales tax returns and business and individual income tax returns. It also offers preparation of monthly financial statements and reconciliation of bank statements. In addition, the firm offers complete payroll preparation and comparisons of financial statements. And through the years, the experienced staff, which includes Larry's son Kenneth, has continued to keep abreast of the constant changes in tax laws and regulations. The firm's clients are mainly located along the Wasatch Front, and some work is done for clients in Arizona and Idaho as well.

Larry Klingler's personalized approach to accounting has won him praise. The firm has been recognized for its accuracy, punctuality, professionalism and courteous service.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
