The Chamber’s Business to Business Expo is May 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Salt Palace.

R&O Construction, headquartered in Ogden, has begun work on a new Walgreens store in Wheatridge, Colorado.

Christopherson Travel Group was awarded the travel contract for PowerQuest Corporation, a provider of storage management solutions.

According to Bill Paulos, CEO of The Summit Group Communications, the advertising industry is beginning to show signs of recovery. An advertising confidence index compiled monthly by the Jack Myers Report recently rose by 5 percent—the fastest rate in 18 months.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: According to The Enterprise, a survey by the Downtown Alliance showed that 70 percent of those businesses that changed their hours during the Games felt it was worth it.

Upon unanimous vote of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Board of Governors, Mitt Romney has been chosen as A Giant In Our City. This award is Salt Lake’s highest honor. Mitt will be honored at a banquet on April 24th. Speakers include SLOC’s Chief Operating Officer Fraser Bullock, Governor Mike Leavitt, and Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson.
