This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

There is something fun and unique about nice, comfortable neighborhood merchants where you can shop on a regular basis, become friends with the proprietor and be very familiar with the goods and services that are offered.

People in the vicinity of the Country Club in Salt Lake City are finding that such a place exists in the Country Club Plaza on 2000 East and 2700 South. Pazzo! Deli and Market is a brand new neighborhood eatery that is owned and operated by a brother/sister team. Steve and Suzanne Sala are asking their customers and friends if they "are crazy for Italian?" If the answer is, "Yes," then Pazzo Deli and Market is for them.

Steve and Suzanne have been in the food business for many years. They are originally from Orange County in Southern California. Steve came from the corporate world but in his earlier years was a cook. He had talked and thought about going into the food business for the past eight years but decided that now was the time. He felt he could really find a niche in Salt Lake City with his Pazzo! concept and since his wife was from Salt Lake City, it was an easy decision to take the jump.

Suzanne told me she had been in the food business "forever." She has taken culinary classes in Italy, has run a catering and restaurant business and has been involved with several restaurant start-ups.

Pazzo! offers recipes that have been gathered over the years from the Sala's grandmother and aunts and cousins. They feature cold and grilled Paninis, soups, hot sandwiches, salads, roasted chickens, meat loaf, pastas and other great Italian specialties that can be eaten in or taken out.

The "market" side of Pazzo! offers great loaves of Italian bread, a wide selection of olives, oils, cheeses and other Mediterranean specialties.

Suzanne and Steve at Pazzo! Deli and Market will make you feel very comfortable and welcome as soon as you enter their beautiful new facility.

This is Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
