LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man has died after he was thrown from his off-road ATV in the Las Vegas desert.
Vegas police say the incident happened at Jean Dry Lake bed Friday night.
The rider of a Yamaha four-wheeler ATV was heading south across the Jean Dry Lake when the vehicle hit raised dirt mounds.
Investigators say the ATV went airborne and the 30-year-old man was ejected.
Both the ATV and the man slid to a stop.
Nearby friends and relatives called emergency responders but the man was pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
