POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Police in southeastern Idaho say they are investigating the death of two men after responding to a reported stabbing. According to Pocatello police, officers were dispatched to a residence Thursday evening after receiving several 911 calls about a possible stabbing.
STANLEY, Idaho (AP) — Idaho biologists say the first Snake River sockeye salmon has arrived in central Idaho in the Salmon River. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game says the fish arrived Tuesday after a 900-mile journey from the Pacific Ocean.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Yellowstone National Park officials say a driver who suffered a heart attack collided head-on with a van in a crash that closed a portion of the park's main roadway during peak tourist season. Park officials said in a statement Friday the driver of the pickup truck died, likely due to the heart attack. The van's occupants suffered minor injuries.
IDAHO CITY, Idaho (AP) — A central Idaho wildfire burning in brush and timber doubled in size Friday to 2 square miles and a national incident team has been called in to manage the blaze. Officials say the fire burning in steep and rocky terrain is about 5 miles north of Idaho City, and that no structures are in imminent danger.
