LAS VEGAS (AP) — One of Nevada's largest sports book operators has agreed to a $1.5 million fine and a removal of its CEO in response to egregious violations alleged by state gambling regulators.
CG Technology was cited by the Nevada Gaming Control Board in May for underpaying winners, accepting bets after a match and knowingly withholding information.
The settlement made public Wednesday was directed by the board and is expected to be approved at the Nevada Gaming Commission's upcoming meeting.
CG Technology President and CEO Lee Amaitis will resign Aug. 31.
The Las Vegas company runs seven area sports books, including at the Cosmopolitan, Venetian and Tropicana casinos on the Strip, as well as the M, Hard Rock, Palms and Silverton casinos.
The company declined comment.
