Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. The Utah Association of REALTORS® recently inaugurated its 2002 officers. John Harr, Jr. will serve as president of the association. Other members are Michael Sloan, Butch Dailey, Thayne Houston, Lurae Stanger, and Trish Reinert. The Salt Lake Community College’s new Foundation Board of Trustees President is Katie Dixon.

Dental Select announced a sponsorship with the National Kidney Foundation of Utah to provide a year of free dental benefits to all kidney transplant recipients and dialysis patients living in Utah.

Governor Leavitt will be speaking today at the inauguration of Eagle Gate College, a new private, post secondary career college making its debut in Salt Lake. Eagle Gate College will provide career training for approximately 200 students at its campus located at 5588 Green Street in Murray.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Olympic Torch Relay will include 11,500 torchbearers—including more than 200 Olympians. The journey takes 65 days and covers 13,500 miles.
