Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. U.S. Bank has named Joseph Urvina and Clary Cook as branch managers in the Salt Lake City metro district. Bank of Utah hired Daniel Flores as Business Development Manager. Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy’s board of directors and officers includes Stephen Swindle, Gregory Williams, Matthew McNulty, III, and Michael Keller. David Greenwood is chair of Van Cott’s litigation section and David Smith is chair of its business section.
Gentner Communications, a Salt Lake conferencing solutions company, has acquired Ivron Systems, a Dublin, Ireland company that develops and supplies hardware and software for video conferencing.
1,923,463 passengers went through Salt Lake City International Airport in August. This is down 1.38 percent from last year.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: During Games-time, the Salt Lake City-Sandy TRAX line will operate from 5:30am until 1:00am. The University TRAX line will also operate during these hours, except after 1pm on the days of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, when the line will be closed for security reasons.
