The YWCA is holding a Leader Luncheon tomorrow, September 25th at the Little America Hotel. The Leader Luncheon honors the accomplishments of women. The scheduled keynote speaker is Nobel Peace Prize winner Betty Williams.

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is tomorrow, September 25th, at 9:30 a.m. Call 269-8408 to register.

According to the Wells Fargo Wasatch Front Cost of Living Report, the local overall cost of living declined 0.0 percent during the month of August. The largest local decline was in the clothing category which fell 4.5 percent in August.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: Mitt Romney has said, “The Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002, like the rest of the nation, is appalled by the enormous travesty that has occurred. Tears and prayers flood our hearts. But not fear. As a testament to the courage of the human spirit, and as a world symbol of peace, the Olympic Games are needed more today than ever before.”
