HELSINKI (AP) — Finnish police say that eight members of Cuba's national men's volleyball team are in custody on suspicion of aggravated rape.

Central Finland regional police say three players were detained in the city of Tampere on Saturday, and were ordered arrested. Police said that five others were detained on Sunday.

Police haven't said where or when the alleged rape occurred, adding that no further details would be provided at this stage.

The Cuban team was playing in a volleyball tournament in Tampere where they lost 3-1 against Finland on Saturday without three of their players, local media reported.
