This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Over the years, I've met some interesting people and often been intrigued by the kind of work they do. But perhaps nothing has been more amazing than the "wellness machine" and the kind of treatment offered at the Peterson Wellness Center in Logan.
Dr. Brent Peterson, a chiropractic physician, and his highly trained technicians use a sophisticated non-invasive computer to evaluate the body's energy. If the energy is out of balance, they use herbal, homeopathic and nutritional products to help restore a healthy energy balance.
Dr. Peterson has practiced for 26 years, but it was seven years ago that he introduced the wellness machine and energy medicine to his practice. Since then, the Wellness Center has treated more than 6,000 patients. Many patients even travel from other states for treatment. They do so because, as I learned, this form of treatment solves their problems and returns them to better health.
It's called homeopathy, and it differs from chiropractic because instead of treating the body's nervous system through the spine, it treats another system that energy flows through called the meridian system. Like the nervous system, if the meridian system is out of balance, the body cannot function properly. The wellness machine evaluates meridian function.
The process of diagnosing a patient's problem begins with an assessment. Their face, hands, feet and skin are examined. Then with the ohm-meter which includes a brass cylinder held by the patient and a probe used by the examiner, patients undergo an analysis. The findings are organized by the computer. Once the problem is identified, the Wellness Center dispenses small bottles of specific herbal remedies to treat the patient. The remedies stimulate the body to heal itself. Patients take these remedies as suggested for a specified period of time and then return to be re-evaluated.
For many patients, the Peterson Wellness Center is the only answer. While many have found health through chiropractic, others have only found relief through homeopathy and its meridian stress assessment. So, it's a good thing the Peterson Wellness Center offers both.
