LOGAN — Logan police identified the 13-month-old boy who died after being hit by an SUV Tuesday.

Wyatt Crockett was playing in front of his house, located in the area of 1700 South and 1330 West, when the accident occurred just before 7 p.m. Monday. Police said a neighbor didn’t see the child while backing out of the driveway of their home and rolled over him.

The boy’s mother was watching her son play with other children from the neighborhood but “went in the home for a short period of time,” during which the accident took place, according to police. They said she saw Davis attending to her son in the road when she came back out.

Wyatt was pronounced dead after being transported to Logan Regional Hospital. The incident is still under investigation, but police said it appears to have been a tragic accident.
