Suspect leads police on high-speed chase

(KSL News) Shots fired in West Valley City led to a high-speed chase overnight.

Police got an anonymous phone call from someone saying they were being shot at by people in a white SUV. Officers spotted the vehicle near 3500 South and Redwood Road and tried to pull it over, but the driver took off.

He led police on a chase on I-15, reaching speeds up to 90 mph. He eventually pulled over north of Farmington.

Police arrested three men after finding an assault rifle in the car.

They also found shell casings in the area of 1600 West and 4100 South in West Valley.

Officers are still investigating who called to report the shooting and whether anyone was injured by the gunfire.
