STILL CELEBRATING — There were a lot of moments to celebrate across the sports world this weekend.
Here are a few of our favorites, which you can find in the video above.
Gauchos go to Omaha
What’s better than a postseason home run? How about a walk-off homer to clinch a spot in the College World Series?
UC Santa Barbara’s Sam Cohen slugged a game-winning grand slam with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Gauchos a 4-3 win over No. 2 Louisville to advance to the program’s first-ever College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

A walk-off GRAND SLAM to go to Omaha by UC Santa Barbara's Sam Cohen! #CWShttps://t.co/avSzj06I9t
The Cardinals were 47-0 in 2016 when holding a lead after eight innings, and took a 3-0 advantage over the Gauchos into the bottom of the ninth inning. UCSB won the first game of the Super Regional, giving it the home at-bat and one more chance to tie or win the game.
J-Guts is a college grad
Former BYU pitcher Jeremy Guthrie has had a pretty good career in Major League Baseball, but one thing has eluded him: a college degree.
Until now.
The Kansas City ace who is currently a free agent announced via Twitter that he is now a college graduate, posting a picture after graduation — degree in hand and tassel on his head.

Guthrie pitched for BYU in 1998 before transferring to Stanford, and he was drafted in the first round of the 2002 MLB draft by the Cleveland Indians. He went on to pitch 13 years in the majors with Cleveland, Baltimore, Colorado and (most famously) Kansas City.
The Little Genius strikes again
Is there anything Lionel Messi can’t do?
The Barcelona star and world soccer’s best (arguably, per Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo) came off the bench in Argentina’s 5-0 win over Panama in a Copa America group game, and had a fair performance.
He had a hat trick, with the first game coming just moments after checking into the match.
Watch every goal here:
